"Green Line” RAM Preview Cache NOT saving on Restart

This is a question regarding the “green line” RAM preview cache. 

 

I find that often when I open yesterday’s project, which was fully cached on shut down, it often has to re-render the video preview cache. 

 

Why does it need to re-render when all I did was shut down and re-open without changing anything? 

 

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Please check "Cache Before Playback" is on in Preview menu and preview your project once. You can see blue line on Timeline when you open your same project next time. It means cache is ready. Once you hit the spacebar, it changes to green, I hope.
