Agreed! This feature has been missing for years and every other DAW has it. Even Premier allows you to add batch fades across multiple regions and tracks.
Hi Steve, there are some limitations to that which make it not all that useable. The clips have to be on different tracks, so it won't help if I have many different clips on the same track that I want to add fades to. Also, the head and tail of those clips must line up, which definitely isn't always the case.
@steve_g.... Nice to see you are still out here.... I haven't been on the forum for awhile. Thanks for your dedication. OK... cringeworthy admission.... I'm still a diehard Audition 1.5 user. Occasionally I shift to version 3 to use multiband compression. Mostly the death grip is because I couldn't let go of the very user-friendly toolbar buttons that cover many functions while avoiding menu hopping, and was chagrined to learn they disappeared years ago from later versions. Anyway.... the real question: Batch fades. I note that I can group clips in the multitrack editor but the only advantage seems to be in clicking once on a group and then right-clicking to drag/move the clip group, thus avoiding clicking multiple clips individually in order to prepare for such a move. As others have noted, it's easy in Pro Tools to do batch fades with grouped clips. I can't find any reference where this is possible in the early version of Audition (yes/no?) and apparently it's not possible in most/all later versions too.... is that correct?
