This may sound weird, but I consider that a very good thing.

I believe having this option is one of the worst things adobe ever added to any program. Seriously.

After taking a photo, the ONLY place that photo resides is on your camera's card. After you ingest the images into your computer, they reside in two places: the computer and the card. If either were to break down, there's always the other copy.

I NEVER erase the images on my camera card until I've got the images on my computer and on a separate backup hard drive. (I also use a cloud service as a third location.)

When asked, I ALWAYS suggest that people (1) do not use that option in the Photo Downloader, (2) reformat the card in the camera, and never reformat a card in the computer.

I'm off my soapbox; you can do what works for you.

Thanks for your input @gary_sc .  Guess we all have different processes in our workflows.   Where I copy my photo's to also shadow copies to another drive simultaniously.  Thus the option works for me to have a fresh card for shooting.

Just looking for adobe to fix this as it worked before with SD Cards on my older camera.
