Bridge 2023: Scrolling and annoying "tooltip"

When using the mouse scroll wheel to go through the images full size (Essentials) in Adobe Bridge 2023 the scrolling no longer show images one by one but as in the attached screenshot.
There's also a problem with the annoying "tooltip" showing image info - it often stays for ever on top of even other programs as long as Bridge is open.

Never had these problem in previous versions of Bridge

I guess this is the annoying "Tooltip" (or "Tooltips") to which the OP referred:

The second image is taken from my second monitor which is not even displaying Adobe Bridge! As soon as Bridge is closed they all disappear.

I should add that this is a Windows 11 22H2 system using Bridge version 13.0.0.562.

    HI @Erik Bloodaxe . Since I do not have a 2nd monitor, I cannot test this on a Mac. But how are you getting the floating image data for selected images? I've never seen that — ever.

    How this occurred:

    • I had Bridge displayed on one monitor and the image data opened when I selected an image from the content panel.  I deselected the first image and selected a second image its data was displayed but that from the first remained. I continued in this way selecting and deselecting ending up with about six lots of image data open but no images selected. Then the most curious bit! I dragged the Bridge window onto my other monitor and all the image data remained left behind on the first. I continued working in the same way on the second monitor and it too filled with image data from each image selected. Eventually I ended up with both monitors cluttered with image data bubbles which all disappeared as soon as Bridge was closed. I will try this again today and let you know if this continues to happen.

    ADDENDUM:

    I restarted my system this morning and the problem has gone away!

    No idea what was going on there and certainly seen nothing like it to date.

      Thanks a lot, Gary! Getting rid of the "tooltipish" meta info was a relief.
      On the scrolling issue, I think maybe I didn't explain my "problem" good enough. Here's what I have always done and hope to do: When going through 300 photos from a fotoshoot, I want to be able to use the mouse scroll button to make the next image to show in full size *for each step on the scroll wheel*. In previous versions I have just used the standard Essentials setup. Scrolling through all the images in this way saves me a lot of time. So in my screenshot I have been used to 1. see the image with the flag full size, 2. then with one "step" of the mouse scrolling wheel it jumps to the next image full size with the standard meta info below.

      Hi, are you aware of the View>Fullscreen Preview, (shortcut: Spacebar) in Bridge?

      This shows only the image, allows you to rate, reject... The scrollwheel zooms on the image, and you navigate with the arrow keys.

        Thanks! No, I have never used this, but it doesn't solve my issue going through a lot of photos one by one in a large size and with the basic file info as I have always done using the scrolling wheel in Essentials mode.

        Let's split this into two issues: first, your scrolling.

         

        While I can't tell for sure because you have much of your screenshot blurred out. It appears you are viewing your images in the Content Panel, not the Preview Panel. You can get multiple images in the Preview Panel by either Shift-clicking or Control/Command-clicking images in the Content Panel.

         

        Anyhow, here's my Content Panel zoomed up like you have

         

         

        That Tooltip thing is part of the Content Panel. It is not a Tooltip; rather it is just the content that is selected to display in the Content Panel for each image. The controls for this are in the Preferences.

         

        Lastly, if you want the best of both worlds, you can "hide" the Details by clicking on the Thumbnail checkbox in the bottom of the Content Panel and all you'll see are your zoomed-in thumbnails. 

        An alternative to the Essentials Workspace, let me show you mine. The entire center section is for the Preview Panel, The entire right side is the Content Panel, and on the left side is whatever else I want/need. I decreased the size of this window to get a clean screenshot, but when it fills my screen, I can click around and see excellent-sized images.

         

        Go ahead and steal the idea if you like it.
