Bridge Automatically deleting favourited network folders

Bridge keeps deleting my network locations in favourites automatically, I don't wan it to do that.

I move between home and office regularly and accidentally click on a network folder all the time, it gets deleted, says "cannot be mounted", needs to be back on my favourite list when I get back to the office. I just need Bridge to say "this folder is unavailable" or "no items to display".

Seems like a small issue, I know, but it wastes time and it's irritating.

Bridge preferences seem somewhat limited, I'd apreciate any help or workarounds.

Correct answer Lumigraphics

This was fixed in the latest release.

I'm working on an update to my free Utility Script Pack for Bridge that includes a new script to backup favorites, labels, and keywords. It will be on Adobe Exchange once I release it.

You are right Lumigraphics

It shows the favorites folder, but will not open because no cached thumbnails are present.

At least it ask permission now to remount the drive.

Not really

Bridge is notorious for not working with NAS setups and has been a constant frustration for people here.

Most file browsers will at least but a X over a unavailable hard drive.

Would make sense to have a similiar configuration.

But that would assume Bridghe would work with NAS systems off the get go.

You will probaly see pigs fly before that happesn................

I see...

Now where am I going to find a program that intergrates well with Illustrator and shows thumbnails for all the filetypes I use as quickly as it does?

It's a damn shame...

Thank you, jmb007
