It says unsupported format. I can convert the same file using Photoshop Elements and other packages.

Adobe Bridge displays BMP images quite happily.

Adobe Bridge converts JPG files to Tiff format.

Does Adobe Bridge not support BMP file conversion?

Hi jpvadgama,

Can you please detail how you are trying to make the conversion? When I just tried this using "Workflow," I had no problem.

So, what process are you using and exactly how are you trying to do this?

Thank you,

Hi Gary_sc,

Thanks for your response. I shall try Workflow.

Here are that steps I took:

Open Adobe Bridge (2022) on Mac

Select one file from the currently displayed files

File --> Export to -->Custom Export.

Provide destination details

Select Image format as TIFF

Click on Start Export.

If a jpg is selected instead of bmp, the above process works fine.

Hi jpvadgama,

I just tried using Export and I also got an "unsupported file" message.

I do not know if that's a bug, a feature, or what, but the Workflow approach does work.

I hope I've helped.

Hi Gary_sc,

Update.

Conversion from BMP to jpg works fine either way, creating and using workflow or just using "File -->Export To".

Conversion from BMP to TIFF gives error message. Either method.

Conversion from jpg to TIFF works fine. Either method.

Either something is wrong with my BMP files or some bug left in the program, or I am doing something wrong.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, I will use Photoshop or some other software.
