Question

deleted files in bridge not recoverable

Hi

I've just accidently deleted a folder of files within Bridge 2022 and  just a little peeved that there is no undo button, or are the folder/files in any trash bin anywhere on the system. Surely it's not beyond the ask to not have an undo or at least a warning message 'do you really want to delete" pop up? Luckily I have a backup from previous day but that's not the point, looking at previous posts, earlier versions used to put the files in the trash can, at least they could be recovered, quickly & easily. This seems like a retrograde step to me.

Sorry to bleat, moan over.

All of my deleted files go into my computer's trash. Forgive me for asking the obvious, but are you sure your files are not in your computer's trash?

Thanks for the reponse. As I mentioned in the original post the files are not in the trash anywhere on the system. I've searched for them using Spotlight/finder, nada, the files are gone. Thank goodness for the backup, but as I said that's not the point, it shouldn't be that easy to get rid of files . . . period.

Hi, @Photech, fair enough. My wife uses the "Are you sure you want to Perminently…, " I can't stand that. :>). So, to each their own. No problem.

I suggest you put a request for this at this website: https://adobebridge.uservoice.com/.

This current site (the Adobe forums) is more for people to ask questions about things that do not seem to be working properly. This forum is populated by folks, like me who are not Adobe employees. The other site IS populated by Adobe Employees looking to see what folks might wish to be added and/or changed in Bridge.

My one big hint is do not expect things to happen quickly. There is a boatload of pre-existing requests, so even if this is approved, it could take a while.
