Question

How to hide non image files by default ?

Hi,

When using Bridge, I don't want to see non image files in the browser, especially the various sidecar files that may reside in the same folder as the images. I'm aware of the different filtering and searching capabilities of Bridge but they are not sticky. I couldn't imagine that the software was unable to automatically filter out non image files.

Did I miss something ?

A temporary workaround is to sort by filename and also by type. This way, unwanted files are grouped together but depending on the extension (type), they could clutter the beginning of the list.

Untick View > Show Hidden Files.

Ronald,

This option is already disabled and sidecar files are not hidden anyway.

Bridge uses the system hidden files flag. XML and DOP files are nothing special that Bridge would know about.

You may have file system problems, I'd start there.

The raw sidecar files (*.xmp) are not considered hidden files by Windows, nevertheless Brdidge normally hides them...
