Question

How to use metadata for genre identification?

My photographs often overlap genres. I'd like a way to label each photograph with one or more genres.

My goal is to be able to select, for examples, all "abstract" photos or all "nature" photos. And I want an abstract photo from nature to be in both catagories.

Got ideas?

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Pstraus141,

You've already worked it out: use both!

My example of what you're describing is family events: there are birthdays, holidays, etc. SOME of those events have Aunt Maude over, others do not. If you have events keyworded and the people in each photo keyworded, then you can find all the images at sister Jane's birthday party (where Aunt Maude was present but not in all the photos), or you can find all the photos that have Aunt Maude.

Same difference.

Just place a comma in between keywords.
