Question

Loading files into photoshop layers no longer being queued

When I'm loading images into layers via the Bridge dialog command, it no longer queues the tasks, in stead I get a dialog box saying photoshop is busy. I use this function almost constantly, the impact on my workflow is quite severe, anyone else having the same issue or got a fix?

Hey there, We're sorry to hear about that. I'll need a few details to help you figure this out.

What version of Bridge and operating system are you working on? What type of image/video are you using to export? Is there any error message?

You can try the steps below to see if this solves the issue.
1. Try resetting your preferences.
Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
2. You can check this link for more detailed troubleshooting steps. https://adobe.ly/4bR0PD4
3. You can also check this discussion, where our Community Expert provides steps for a similar issue you shared.

4. If the above steps don't help, uninstall and reinstall the Bridge and check if the issue persists.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi!

Windows 11 pro, newest version of PS and BR, fresh clean install of OS and appllications. Where PS used to queue the 'load files into photoshop layers' it now comes up with the attached dialog box.

Resetting the preferences didn't work.
