Question

Minibridge doesnt seem to do anything when launched

I am using CS6 13.0.1, x64, with Bridge 5.0.2.4 x64 on a Win 10 PC.

I use CS6 and Bridge comfortably; however, when i attempt to scan folders with minibridge, all it does is open a new panel overlaid on CS6 - and nothing else. I assume there should be some way to work through its interface to open folders, etc - but nada, nothing, nil, zilch.

any suggestions welcome. thanks in advance

Isn't minibridge written in Flash? If so, Flash is dead.

Lumi,

If he's running CS6, it's very probable that his computer and his OS will still run Flash. Either way, point well taken and he needs to know this if he ever HAS to get a new computer. If so, a lot of his software will have expired.

Thank you... i don't have flash on this computer.

i imagine ihavent checked) that it's no longer downloadable. and i didnt realize that minibridge relies on flash.

im not sure about the comment that other of my software might have expired and not be reloadable on a future computer. my copy of  CS6 was a purchase and should be movable to a future computer.

all that said, what are folks doing for quick folder scans, which minibridge excelled at? it takes bridge a relatively long time to open a folder of more than (say) 36 images. (grin)

again, thanks

Jeff, Gary's comments suggest that the fix you proposed would no longer work.

as it happens, the registry looks a bit different than the blog suggestions (see attached snip).

eater to make progress, of whatever type..

The fix still works here on windows 10 x64 21H2.

You want to go HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Adobe / CSXS.3

and

— right-click on the right pane and insert a String value
— name it PlayerDebugMode and set its value to 1
— restart Photoshop/any application with Mini Bridge

CS6 Mini Bridge doesn't need the now defunct Flash Player to work.
