Not able to quit Bridge

I do so appreciate that Bridge remains an open app while using my iMac (always up to date), but I find that when quitting Bridge, I have to go through the FORCE QUIT in the Apple menu; the normal quit does nothing.  Anyone with similar experiences?

Correct answer gary_sc

That's not normal behavior, please try resetting your Bridge's Preferences:

Rebuild Bringe’s Prefs

“You need to rebuild Bridge’s Preferences. Here’s how:  When launching Bridge, Command-Option (Mac)/Control-Alt (Win) + Shift to choose “Reset Preferences”, Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache”, and/or Reset Standard Workspaces.” In your case, chose "Reset Preferences."

Thank you gary_sc,

I did as you suggested and Bridge now quits fast w/o forcing.
