Photo downloader not showing all files!

When using photo downloader, all the images are not showing up. I need to "refresh list" in order for the correct number of files on the card to be downloaded. If one is not paying attention to the number of files on the card, this could result in HUNDREDS of images not being "found."

Holy major bug, Batman!

FIX THIS, please.

Mac OS 14.1.2

I just came across this as I have just started using photo downloader on my Mac with a Nikon D810 (the SD card doesn't show up when plugging the camera in unfortunately).

After a few days with this camera I noticed the file number order in my folders had gaps and yesterday yesteray I spotted what Wes described back in 2023. I spent yesterday evening trying various recovery software to try and salvage what I calculated to be 150+ missing photos to little avail, (just five retrieved) so it looks likely the rest have been over-written.

Hi Wes,

Wow, a big batch of bugs you've presented today.

With this one, I cannot directly test because I am on a Canon, and I have an M1 Studio. I can say that I've not seen this at all. One other difference is I never hook my camera to Bridge; rather I take the card out and insert it into either a card reader or the card slot on the computer.

Can you please verify if you see the same issue with a card as you do with the camera? That might help the engineers see if they can verify. I'm wondering if there might be some lag time issue with the cable that using the card directly is bypassing.

Good luck on these

This is when using a card reader, not when connected to a camera.

Hi Wes,

Hmm, curious question: in your video, you show the card reading from:

Which looks like what I'd expect to see if you were plugged into your camera.

When I put a card into my computer, I see this:

Which I assume is what my camera "names" my cards when I reformat them. Do Nikon cameras name the cards by the name of the camera model? If so, that's very good. I wish Canon did something like that.
