Problem with Bridge reset deleting all photos

Hi there-  My Bridge (CC 2023) appearance suddenly changed (I'm sure I pushed something) and I wanted it back to the original display. I tried several suggestions and eventually just reset to default settings by holding the option key will opening Bridge and now all of my photos are gone. Any idea where they are and how I can recover them?  HELP!!!

    I'm sorry if you'll have to depend on the phone call. I'm leaving on holiday tomorrow so I will not be able to help anymore at this point.

    Hi Gary- I called Adobe support and we installed the previous version of Bridge (12) and everythin was there!  Attempted to install 13 to see if the problem was fixed but 13 still wasn't showing any files. He recommended I run the old version until the next update in a month or so.

    Him, @kmb60 Glad you realized that you haven't lost your images.

     

    I'm not fully sure what holding the option key can do, but the proper way to set your preferences is to:

     

    Quit Bridge (if running). Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. For PCs, press Control-Alt-Shift. Then open Bridge BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, choose “Reset Preferences," "Entire Thumbnail Cache,” and/or "Reset Standard Workspaces.” In your case, choose "Reset Preferences."

     

    One other thing you should also do is to rebuild the cache for that folder. You do that by going into the Tools (menu) -> Cache -> purge cache for (x) folder.

    Yep. I tried all that and photos are still not showing in Bridge.

    Where are the photos located?

    To be more precise....   My photos are all still on my computer, I can see them all in Finder (Macbook Pro) in the same folders that are listed in Bridge - but there are no thumbnails/photos showing in the Bridge App.  I restored the Bridge App via Timeline backup from last night - still no thumbnails/photos in Bridge.  How do I get them to show up?
