Re: Files suddenly NOT found in Bridge 2023

Hi there,

I'm having similar issues on a Mac.  Bridge is showing that no files exist in folders that show up correctly in Finder.

Bridge 2023: v 13.0.1.583

PS 2023: v 24.0.1

Macbook Pro 2019: Ventura 13.0.1

File Type Association: all relevant types set to Photoshop 2023 24.0.1 (JPG, TIFF, PNG, PSD, PSB & NEF are the only types I really use)

The files in question that are not appearing are stored on a WD external 2TB drive (easystore 2648, v 4.4.407).  It isn't an SDD, but is only a week old and works just fine with every other application. I've verified in my Privacy settings that both Bridge and PS have full disk access.

I would love any help you can offer.  I know this is a nasty time of year to be in customer service and so very much do appreciate your efforts!

Best,

Mike

Hi, this is a separate issue from the thread you entered it into so I moved it to a unique thread.

This is not the fault of Adobe or anyone; this is Apple making sure that applications that have not been given permission to access areas of your computer cannot access those areas of your computer.

[Note: if you are using Ventura, the look of this has changed. But what I show below is sufficient for you to figure out what you need to do.] Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, and select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.

    Please let me know

[Note: these images are from an older OS, the process is the same.]

    That should do it.

Having the same issue on a PC. Bridge will not sure folders/files in my Dropbox. How does that fix work?

The above has nothing to do with either Windows or Dropbox.

Adobe apps do not work correctly with Dropbox. Period. You risk data loss by trying to mix them.
