Right click to rename a folder or image

Hi, 

I have used adobe PS and bridge for years. Suddenly I cannot rename a folder or image using mouse right click. This no longer highlights the folder name etc. Folder definately not open in windows or another program, no message when R click just nothing. Bridge totally up to date and cache compressed. All preferences reset. Any ideas? Ive found a workaround by using "reveal in explorer" and renaming there but would rather have straight forward R click to rename.
