After Effects Motion Blur on Image Files Persistent While At Rest

On MacOS, After Effects Beta 25.5, After Effects 25.4, After Effects 25.3, 25.1 this issue seeems universal on my device. Downgrading to AE 24 or AE 25.0 seems to fix this problem.

All settings are default. All plugins uninstalled. Shutter speed is 180 and -90. So this is not the issue at hand.

No matter what I try, when in a composition, on any image file format (gif, jpeg, png, webp), after a keyframe is put down with motion blur, the motion blur persists and remains a constant. When clearing the cache, the issue goes away. The video renders without this motion blur error, so the error is unique to preview/cache.

Yeah this is happening to me as well. If I add another layer (as long as it's visible) above it it is fixed. WTF am I doing paying for this crap. Did you guys test it?!

Thank you for looking into this, I will play with the sample rate (as well as adding a dummy layer to prevent this issue) and see what temporary workarounds I can use in the newer versions. Very much appreciated.

Hi @Oz_Me ,

Thanks for reporting the issue, and the screen recording! I was able to reproduce the issue and I've filed a bug on it. I was able to get the blur to stop by adjusting the Samples Per Frame to a different value, but I'm not sure if this is a "hit or miss" thing and it will come back at some point.

The blur also went away when I brought another layer into my comp, so as you said, it does seem related to the cache.

Thanks,
