Adobe Creative Cloud installer executable not digitally signed

Community Beginner ,
Jul 15, 2025 Jul 15, 2025

Hello,
The installer executable for Adobe Creative Cloud hosted at Adobe Creative Cloud download does not appear to be digitally signed. Because of this, SmartScreen in Edge treats it as a potentially dangerous download.

Thanks!

use a different browser if you can't bypass that.

Hi there,

I know how to get around this, I am just pointing it out because I know Adobe monitors the forum and would like them to sign their software.

Thanks!

It appears that the version in the zip file hosted at Download Creative Cloud desktop app using direct links is properly signed.

I also ran into this. Is this normal for Adobe to just not sign their installers?

it's normal for some browsers and some antivirus apps etc to give erroneous info.

It's not erroneous, the file isn't signed when downloaded from the Creative Cloud download page, or from the portal once you sign in.

then yes, it's normal.

With respect - the reason I created a post about it is because it is not normal, and not desirable. Multimillion dollar companies should digitally sign their software to differentiate it from malware masquerading as legitimate software.

Thanks!

@kglad I'm not sure what makes you a community expert, but you obviously have no idea how an enterprise works. Stick to the consumer side bro. You're welcome.
