For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:
Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?
Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available.
No one can say (except for some Adobe employees, who are not allowed to say). You should check the list here each time Adobe updates the Lighroom Classic software.

Hello!
I have a problem with the files from my newly bought Sony RX100vii in Lightroom Classic (Version 14.2) and DNG Converter.
I shot only in RAW, and am now trying to bring them into Lightroom Classic (Version 14.2). The images cannot be shown in the preview, and when trying to import them, i get the message that "These files cannot be opened by Lightroom". I tried converting them with the Adobe DNG Converter, but I get a similar result as after the conversion process i get the message that "The RAW-format of the file cannot be supported".
I just bought the RX100vii, have done no software updates whatsoever. So I am wondering if that has something to do with it.
I am thankful for any help, as I just want to start editing the photos from my new camera! Thank you in advance! ❤️

Please verify your LrC version, just in case you have more than one copy on your computer.
A screenshot or a copy/paste of the first 6 or so lines from /help/system info/ (in LrC) should work for that.

You've bought the RX100M7A, a new model that Sony silently introduced recently. You'll have to wait for a new release of LR. Support for a new model from a major manufacturer is usually released in the Lightroom / Camera Raw version following the release date of the camera, sometimes the release after that. LR is released every eight weeks, so we might expect to see LR 14.3 about the first week of April.

I just bought a Sony RX100M7 and my Photoshop (latest ACR) cannot open the raw (ARW) files. From what I read other users have the same problem too and then I realised that my camera is the latest version called RX100M7A (instead of plain M7 which is supported up to now) and there is still no support for this one. Hopefully Adobe will realise that this is a new version (I think Sony hasn't given enough info) and take care soon enough, so by the next update we'll be able to open the files in ACR.

I desperately need a Camera Raw File update for the Sony RX100M7A.
Sony RX100 VII is already supported but the new version VIIa is not yet which is a total bummer.

I have the same camera and have just downloaded the latest version of camera raw 17.4.1.2280 and it is now able to convert the ARW files.
I hope this is of help to you.

Right, Adobe added support for the Sony RX100M7A to ACR 17.3.1, Lightrrom 8.3.1, and Lightroom Classic 14.3.1:

I recently purchased a Sony RX100M7A (the A is the important thing) camera which was released 2023
unfortunately none of the adobe products work when I try to import my photos in raw format. The Sony Model RX100M7 is supported - and works well
But the RX100M7A format is not recognized. Is there a way to fix this? would it be possible to include this camera model in the near future?
thank you for your quick response
Simone

I was able to import RX100M7A fotos in adobe products by modifying the exif information with exiftool:
exiftool -sonymodelid=DSC-RX100M7 -overwrite_original *.arw
exiftool -Exif:Model=DSC-RX100M7 -overwrite_original *.arw
those two commands did the trick for me
best regards
Simone

Thank you for this this info Simone.
It took a while for me to work out how to properly install and use Exiftool but eventually I managed it. And thanks to your two commands I can now work on my ARW files while I wait for the Adobe update.
Very much appreciated.
Sam

Beware that if Sony made even minor changes to the sensor and/or the firmware, using the RX100M7 Camera Raw profile with RX100M7A raws may produce different results than the presumably upcoming RX100M7A profile.
Sony hasn't published anything I can find about the differences between the two models, so the difference in raws might be minor or non-existent.

Thank you very much Simone!
I have the same issue with the ZV-1A - the commands are:
exiftool -Exif:Model=ZV-1 -overwrite_original *.ARW
exiftool -sonymodelid=ZV-1 -overwrite_original *.ARW

The Sony RX100 M7A camera's raw images are incompatible with Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom app.
I upgraded my Sony RX100 VI to the VII for a work trip, and I can't export the photos to Lightroom for editing.
Will it be available soon?
thanks

Meanwhile, you can use Sony's Imaging Edge program to export the raws as TIFFs that can be imported into LR without any significant change in quality.

Hi guys, when do you plan on adding support for RAW files from Nikon Z5 II camera? Thank you, Vaclav

Maybe the next update, which is soon if normal release cadence if followed. However, Adobe does not share this information with us in advance. So, no guarantee.

Support for a new camera from a leading manufacturer typically comes in the LR release following the release of the camera or, less frequently, the second following release. A new version of LR comes out about every 8 weeks, so we might expect to see LR 14.3 this week or next. However, the Z 5II was just released seven days ago, which may not be enough time for Adobe to get support into 14.3, in which case it would appear in 14.4. (I have no inside information on this, and Adobe never announces such things ahead of time.)
Meanwhile, you can use the free NX Studio software to convert raws to TIFFs and import those into LR without significant lossof quality.

"I was surprised to find it not supported even after almost two years on the market"
The RX100M7A has only been shipping the last 6 weeks or so, and there was no official announcement about it from Sony. It appears that Sony released several "A" variants at the same time, disabling the in-camera battery charging via the micro USB port to avoid running afoul of new EU regulations requiring USB-C charging:

Those are files that you've modified with Exiftool. Could you please provide unmodified sample raws straight from the camera?
