Yes, it is installed on a local drive. In fact, I had already tried uninstalling and installing again, including testing previous versions. And the problem persisted.

I ended up discovering that the problem was in the application log. I got there via the path "%appdata%\Adobe" and changed the line corresponding to the error in the "Debug Database" file.

Where it was "UseAdobeCleanFont true true" replace it with "UseAdobeCleanFont false true". I restarted the computer and it worked!

That would indicate that the program does not have rights to the drive you are trying to open it from. Where do you have it installed? Is it installed on a local drive? Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the program?
