Hey, y'all!  Happy New Year,

Everytime I change the scenery for a character, the software completely breaks.

This is the error message:

Character Animator Handle value is not a number Error Code :(Container js;249)

I would upload a puppet, but it happens with all of them.

I'm on the latest version of the software(20214?)

2018 Macbook pro

2.3 Ghz quad Core i5

16 gigs of ram

If I've left anything out just let me know.

Brand new to posting on these forums so I aplolgize for blowing any of the protocols.

Thanks in advnce.

Will

Hello all... The updated version of Character Animator, version 24.2, is now available in the Creative Cloud desktop app. It contains the fix (previously only available in the Beta build) for this issue. Thank you for your patience and help resolving it.

Just checking back to see if you've tried the updated Beta 24.3.0.7, to see if it addresses this issue. Please let us know if you can.

Thanks.

Hi Will,

Thanks fior letting us know about this issue. We have a possible fix available to test if you're wanting to try out the Beta version of Character Animator. In the Creative Cloud Desktop app, within the Beta apps section, there is a Character Animator (Beta) build, version 24.3.0.7, that was recently posted. This Beta app installs separate from the released version of Character Animator 24.0, so you'll be able to try it out without affecting that version.

If you're willing to check it out, can you let us know if the Beta v24.3.0.7 build avoids the "Handle value is not a number (Container.js)" error?

Thanks!
