Hello! I am trying to add additional mouths. I'm not sure if this can be done, but if it can can someone please put me in the right direction as to what I am doing wrong. I created 2 new layers in Photoshop for new mouths. I can see them in Character Animator and assigned triggers to them, but the triggers aren't working. Thanks!!

There are a fixed set of mouth positions built into the Face and Lipsync etc features. LipSync generates mouth positions based on sounds (audio analysis), Face with web cam from memory generates the visual ones (smile and surprised). You cannot add new ones that are picked up by those behaviors, and it does not work well putting new layers under the Mouth layer (because the other behaviors override it).

So instead, what I normally do is create a layer above Mouth. I then put all the extra mouths as siblings to Mouth and put Mouth and the other siblings into a swapset. Made “Mouth” the default for the swapset. So when you use your trigger to show your new mouth position, it hides the whole “Mouth” layer and displays yours instead. I have found that to be more reliable.

The other thing I have tried recently is to create two sets of mouths - happy and normal. I bent all the mout positions up a little for happy. So then I used a swap set to decide which set of mouth positions to use. Happy talking, normal talking, etc. But that is probably beyond what you want to do.
