Character Animator (Puppet head goes opposite direction)

I'm a teacher and I have a student who's made a puppet but when she turns her head left the puppet responds in the opposite direction. I haven't seen this before and tested that the tutorial puppets do respond correctly so there must be something in the students project that is wrong. Any suggestions?

Seems to have been origin point was moved to wrong layer is PS. Got it!
