Lip sync chart - for Moustache only

Fellow Animators!

Any tips, tricks or references points for creating a lip sync chart to animate the attached moustache?

The character has no visible mouth, so the moustache needs to do all the work!

I like Oshiro's answer about making it several mouth shapes but also how about just making a draggable point in the middle and the 2 dangle point on each side to give it bounce?

Can we see what you ended up with?

Japanese has been converted to English using translation software.

1) Several mustache shapes are available for pronunciation.
2) Tag each mustache layer with a mouth shape tag.
