oh this is useful. i was hoping for just a written list of all the possible layers that i can pass on to my artist. But i can begin to contruct one from this. and if i decide to tinker with making as puppet in my style this will be a great start

Another source is to click the "A" button in the "Tags" section of "Properties" panel for a puppet. (The "A" button shows tag names as text instead of the pretty graphics.) The blank puppet shows the nesting hierarchy (which is really useful/important), but might not use all of the tags. The Tags section might tell you about other layer names you were not aware of. But the nesting of layers is often important.  The "Behaviors" page in the user guide is another source, but has lots of other text in it.
