motion library with quadrapeds

Hi all- I'm so excited to see the motion libary with ready mini animations. However, I'm surprised that the Character Animator team still hasn't addressed four-legged animals. I've seen other inquiries over the years and the closest to being answered is from 2018 and it's a clever but bulky response. 

What are people doing or suggesting to rig four legs to move in harmony like an animal would? Is there a way to tweak motion library so that you can still use it but have the legs and arms move more uniformly like a dog, cat, horse... etc would do?
