Many creative cloud users are reporting that in the past day windows explorer has become very slow with everyone experiencing the same problem. Clicking on folders/files in file explorer causes the cursor to flash 3 times and takes 2-3 seconds to load the folder/file on any disk drive.
The posts below are starting to pop up in reddit help communities and the common factor is that everyone has Creative Cloud installed. I am experiencing this myself on my work system. Adobe needs to get an emergency fix put out for this.

Thank you everyone for sharing the log files. We had a connect session with @Viki.Mellow and have identified the root cause and working on a fix for this. We will update on this same thread once we have the fix ready.

I had the same problem after using this tip. You can reset the NTFS permissions by using a cmd prompt with admin rights and the following command:
icacls "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe OS Extension" /T /C /RESET

When you can't restrict access to that folder, simply renaming it will work as well. Just did that on the workstation of our GFX-dude, who was freaking out about this bug already.

@kglad Thanks, that worked!
@visitorsam I disabled full access for everyone but admin and both explorer and premiere are working fine

Can you provide steps to do that. I can not find a way to either rename the linked folder in explorer (greyed out)
nor can I find a way to remove access. Sorry, thx

Renaming on a windows machine works using the F2-key while you selected the folder. If you need admin privileges, as your user account has been restricted from changing the folder, you'd need to switch to the admin account or contact your administrator/IT-Helpdesk.

The amount of productivity damage dealt to uncounted clients must be immense. I spent 4 hours on finding a solution for that and am infuriated.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing in your work. A solution has been prepared and we would like to deploy the fix on your machines. Could some of you share your Adobe IDs with me via DM with which you login to Creative Cloud. This will enable us to deploy the fix specifically for your accounts. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.

Ruchika Wadhawan

Have just sent you a DM. Thank you.

- what is "via DM" ?
- Do you mean you will need to make that fix individually for each and every infected PC in the world? Probably not, right?

Hi @StefanKlein ,
No not individually, we just wanted to share the build with few of the folks initially who were facing this issue just to verify that the solution is actually working.
