My Behance project has been marked as SPAM for the second time! No word from behance

This is the second time one of my projects has been marked as spam! I've been on Behance for a few years and have posted around 29 projects, half of which have been featured by Behance. I have 8 "Best of Behance" projects and am a proud Behance Pro member.

Recent Issues with Project Spam

In the last 2 months, 2 of my projects have been marked as spam without any explanation. All of my projects follow the same layout, including those that have been featured. They consist of project images showcasing the design and identity process, along with links to my other social media and contact information (nothing new or out of the ordinary).

That’s it—no nudity, no solicitation, no selling. Yet, for the second time, a project of mine was flagged just 1 day after posting. It had already received 150 likes and is a project I'm very proud of. The first time this happened, I submitted a ticket but didn’t hear back at all. I ended up having to re-upload the project, losing the 350 likes it had already accumulated.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I would really appreciate any input on how to prevent this in the future. It's incredibly frustrating, especially considering Behance approached me to speak with their Pro team about improving the platform and its features.

I would love ANY input.

Hey there,

I’m currently experiencing a very similar situation and, honestly, I’m not sure what else I can do at this point.

Earlier this month, I published a project where my studio account was set as the project owner, while a friend and my personal account were added as collaborators. The project was flagged as spam immediately after publishing. After carefully reviewing the project and not finding any violations, I cloned and re-published it — this time it went live without any issues.

However, after the initial flag, I received a warning email stating that further violations could lead to additional actions. To avoid making any mistakes, I contacted Behance via X (Twitter) and was directed to email Adobe Zendesk support, which I did more than three weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any response so far.

About a week later, I published another project — this time with my personal account as the project owner and the studio account, along with other artists, added as collaborators. This project was also flagged as spam, and again I had no idea why. I waited a bit, reposted it in the same way as before, and once again there were no issues.

Last week, one of my older projects received an award, which — together with the other projects published this month — led to a significant increase in visibility and engagement. Shortly after that, I received another email stating that my account was flagged for spam again and that my visibility would be restricted. Since then, my projects seem to be excluded from search results, and interactions have dropped noticeably.

Following this, I submitted a support ticket and sent another email to Adobe Zendesk on Friday. Up to this point, I still haven’t received a single response regarding any of these issues. While I understand that the latest ticket and email are only about 5 days old, even my very first email from early January has never been answered.

I’m not sure if this is relevant, but both projects follow a consistent project structure. I intentionally designed them to function as studio projects, which is why they share a unified layout. Of course, the content and materials differ, as these are two completely different projects — only the layout is adapted.

I’m a Behance Pro and Creative Cloud customer, and I’m honestly very disappointed. I want to clearly state that I have no intention of misusing the platform. I’ve always acted respectfully on Behance and value it greatly as a space for showcasing creative work. Running both a personal account and a studio account is purely meant to separate personal and studio-related work — not to manipulate reach or engagement.

For now, I’ll wait a bit longer. However, if I don’t receive any help from Adobe this week, I’ll repeat the process and submit another ticket and email.

Any opinions or help would be very much appreciated.

I'm currently experiencing the same problem.

All I wrote about in my projects
was writing about the process and concepts behind the graphic designs and art photos I created.

Of course, I'm not producing pornography or advertising or promoting other companies, but
it was marked as spam and I can no longer log in or access Behance.

This is terrible.
The appeal page isn't responding either.

Hi guys! My project was banned yesterday for spam activity, although I did not engage in cheating😭 I sent an appeal and I received a refusal. Tell me, has anyone managed to appeal the refusal and return their profile to normal?

The support on Behance don't exist, it's been 3 days that I want to understand WHAT I did wrong and no one even answer me. So damn frustrating.. I have a 5 year account and they just restrict it and that's it

3 days is not long enough.  generally, you can expect evaluations to consume 1 to 2 weeks.

Hi, community!

We’re facing a situation: our Behance accounts are restricted in search, likes on projects don’t work, and new posts also can’t be liked. At the same time, following and saving projects to moodboards still works.

We have already submitted appeals, but they were declined, and we haven’t received a direct response from Adobe support yet. We also emailed support@behancenetwork.zendesk.com.

I’d like to know if anyone has experienced a similar problem and how it was resolved.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I'm having a similiar issue.

Did you manage to solve it? Seems impossible to get in contact with anyone from adobe over this situation.

Thanks.

Currently having a similar issue, seems like other people too are having this issue due to some recent posts in the past month.

I have been a pro subscriber for 1 year+ and done almost 10 paid projects on Behance. Behance has been my main source of client inquiry.

Now when searching my name in the people category you cannot even find my profile!

I have contacted support to try and resolve this, hopefully there is a solution.

Hi Geo,

Sorry to bother you but can I ask you if you know how to get your projects back to normal? I was in the kind of same situation, I have a behance project I'm very proud of, it got 600 appreciations just in a week after I posted it up. And suddenly it got marked as spam & removed from Behance feed & search without any explanation and yet every single projects on my account got restricted also.

When I contact the Behance help center, I got nothing but the reply that my account was marked as spam for the violation of section 3 of Behance community guidelines, although I didn't do anything to be called violations. The Behance team seems to be surely convinced that I was violated the rules but I was not because of the great-growth of my project in a short time, left my project with restriction and can't be found on feed or search anymore. I want to cooperate with Behance teams to prove that I was wrongfully acused but there is no reply after that. Now I can't do nothing other than waiting for my account to be back in normal.

I just feel frustrated & disappointed about this problems, one of my proudest project just died like that. I don't know anything to do anymore, dying trying looking for help and I found your post, hopefully there is a way to solve this problem or if not, it's okay cause I finally found a case like me and know that I'm not the only one.

Thanks for reading, I'm appreciated alot!

Best regards,

Nhan

That's unbelievable!

My project that was marked as spam never got reinstated. I never heard back from them, so I ended up deleting and reposting it. Oddly enough, the same project that was flagged as spam went on to receive "Best of Behance" the following week. Clearly, something is seriously wrong with Behance’s new algorithm, and it's causing major issues.

Even stranger, a few weeks after my project was marked as spam, my entire account was blocked and set to private. I reached out to them through emails and DMs on every platform (Instagram, Twitter, etc.) explaining the issue, and it took about a week to resolve. This situation is making the platform unusable. I’m hesitant to post my best work for fear it might get flagged as spam due to high traffic or appreciations.

What’s worse is that when my account got locked, I had active client projects and proposals in my Behance DMs through their "Freelance Project" feature. All of those were canceled. This issue needs to be addressed—it's harming genuine creators who rely on Behance.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, Nhan. Could you send me a link to your account? I have heard from other freelancers that when this happens, the project should come back after 14 days or so. I cant confirm if this is true, but I've heard this from several Behance users.

Make sure to Email: support@behancenetwork.zendesk.com

Hi,

Same here, it happened to me as well!

So I recently joined Behance because of some school project and I posted my first solo project which was an artwork (of lady justice with no nudity or anything that is offensive to anyone) like a week ago for fun. Then I logged out and the next day I found out my account was restricted with the reason spam. And I can't blame high traffic either because my first project just got like three likes in an hour before it was flagged spam and privated. I opened it today and I was shocked to find out my projects were privated and nobody can access it anymore. Of course, I am not someone dependent on Behance since it's just a new experience to me but it's disappointing to start a new and then just restricted the moment you join. I have contacted the behance team but looking at the replies here I doubt it will be resolved in a week.

It's kinda depressing though because it was new experience for me and I was actually excited for a site just for projects and people that appreciate it.

Thanks,

Trisha.
