Why does Creative Cloud constantly need to repair itself?

I have no idea what's happened since Adobe's most recent updates -

I am getting constant 'repair is needed' for Creative Cloud.

I get Creative Cloud installer and it installs itself. Everything seems fine but then I come back the next morning and I get the 'need repair' message again.

Any thoughts on what's happening?

Thanks!

@AnneGast & @PTH Photo,

I've been a CC subscriber for over 10 years & I've never had to repair CC.

I have a Win10 workstation with 1.5 TB hard disk and 16 GB RAM.  McAfee is my anti-virus/firewall.  Everything runs great!

Make sure your computer meets the system requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on these updated OSs:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, 21H1;
  • MacOS 14 (Sonoma), 13 (Ventura), 12 (Monterey), 11 (Big Sur).

If you continue to have problems, reach out to Adobe Technical Support for assistance. It might be a simple permissions problem.  If you don't have administrative permissions on a school or work computer, contact your IT dept.

Mine does the same. Stops for a few months then continues. This date is April 3 2024. We cannot all have corrupt computers.

I'm having this same issue on so many of the computers on campus. I'm currently building a brand new computer, so it has barely anything on it, and yet, a brand new install of Creative Cloud is constantly asking to be repaired.

Honestly, I don't believe Adobe knows what's causing the problem. It's a real nuisance when Creative Cloud has to repair itself, because it takes about 15 minutes and uses a lot of resources from my computer. I might as well just get up and make a sandwich.

I'm having the same issue, it's very annoying. It happens to me 2 or 3 times a day. If I close Adobe Creative Cloud and just leave open Photoshop Elements there is no problem. So it's just with Creative Cloud. Has anyone found an answer?

it's something on your computer (typicall, but not necessarily av) that's corrupting adobe files.

Well, then whatever it is, is also on a LOT of other computers.

I'm having the same problem. Everything was working just fine up until a couple of months ago when it started to be in constant need of repair at least every other day, but every day more often than not. Every community discussion group I've looked at doesn't have a solution. I've experienced this a while ago on a different computer. After getting a new computer, it was working just fine for about 6-8 months before needing frequent repairs. It is highly annoying and a long time problem that Adobe has been aware of.

again, it's a problem on your computer related to something corrupting adobe file/files.

This "answer" is of no help. Just telling me there's something on my computer causing the problem doesn't give me any direction as to find out what is causing the problem. No other Adobe program has any issues, just the Creative Cloud Desktop app. I find it quite odd that something on my computer would cause problems with the lesser program that CCD is and not with any of the other programs.

something on your computer (typically av) is causing the problem.
