ADE crashes each time I try to open DRM-protected library books

Updated to ADE 4.5.10.  Have tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my computer (Windows 10).  Seems OK if I import a book that I have purchased but crashes every time I try to import a book that is DRM-protected.  Not able to load the book or open it to read even in ADE.  Also unable to transfer to eReader through ADE (although this is fine with a purchased book).  Any suggestions?
