getting error E_ACT_NOT_READY???

keep getting this error when I am trying to download ebooks from my public library (using mac version digital edition).  I tried to de-aurthorize however it kept saying that it could not be done at this time.  I also tried to uninstall digital edition and re-install with no luck.  Plus I tried the steps from the online help and can't seem to find the file users//library/applicationsupport/adobe/digitaleditions.  Any help would be great!!!
