I installed Adobe digital editions 4.5.11. No matter what I do it does not turn pages!!!

Help is adobe really this incompetent that their programs can't even turn pages, and they allow it to continue for almost 5 years??? I am completely floored by this.

Serious Adobe!? You have ONE JOB with this app and thats to read a book and you don't have a way to turn pages?

I had the same issue here. My first experience with this Adobe crap.

The following solution worked for me: I use Calibre for reading.

Install Calibre and the DeACSM plugin. In the plugin settings import activation from ADE.

Then take the pdf/ePub from your 'Documents/My Digital Editions" folder and drop the file in calibre. You can now read it there.

The turn buttons were greyed out. I typed the number 1 into the box on the top right next to the greyed out arrow buttons and the buttons "un-greyed" and became workable to turn pages. Hope this helps you.

Exact same thing is happening to me right now. 4.5.11. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting. NOTHING makes this app work, which sucks because my Pro Tools books are on it and I got the exam coming up.

I'm having the same problem. Clicking on the arrow at the bottom of the page works, but that's the only way now.

I uninstalled all adobe products, rebooted, then changed the name of the folder in documents from my digital editions to my digital editions.old then authorized ( which is under the help button) again with adobe, and used password. first it didn't work, and all of a sudden it does. I can read, hoerah!!

I had the same problem. I got help from ADE support. The support guys was REALLY HELPFUL! He had me check for new drivers (my laptop is a Dell, 2 months old running Windows 11). He was particularly interested in the Graphics drivers. Anyway, we downloaded and installed all 8 as recommended by Dell and ADE turns pages!

(Before this I'd unauthorized, uninstalled and reinstalled ADE - no change with that. It was the drivers on my laptop.)

I was having the same problem. ProQuest suggested following these steps and it worked: unauthorize, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reauthorize.

I could turn the pages after I followed the steps above. I have Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11.

Would you mind giving more details on your solution ?

I don't understand how you unauthorize and app and how it influences the page turning anamation later.

I trierd the unauthorize... and it didn't work. What fixed my problem was updating all the drivers on my laptop. I think I needed a new graphics driver. I just went to the manufacture's site (Dell) and it checked and recommended a few drivers were out of date. After accepting them all being updated, the pages started turning like they're supposed to.
