ADE is fine except for when I'm using PDFs. The keyboard shortcuts to scroll listed in Getting Started With Adobe Digital Editions don't work!

Up Arrow - Scrolls up by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls up a page (in Fit Page views)

Down Arrow - Scrolls down by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls down a page (in Fit Page view)

In Fit Width view, neither the up or the down arrow do this. Instead, sometimes they will allow me to go back or forward a page then lose that functionality until I scroll with the mouse.

Left Arrow - Goes to previous half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to previous page (for EPUB documents)

Right Arrow - Goes to next half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to next page (for EPUB documents)

These buttons don't do anything.

What's going on?!

I did not use ADE for a while, but now (in 2022!) while reading an e-book of 500 pages it is apparent that there was virtually no progress in this program (I am using version 4.5.11), I am using ADE on a Windows 10 notebook (64bit), high-end, the notebook has a touch screen but ADE support seems very limited, isn't a notebook a kind of e-reader? (not the topic of this message)

To improve user experience of the program: in general all mouse clicks / keyboard press events should be interpreted from the perspective of the user. It seems so easy to make this program much more user friendly....

If I press up or down arrow nothing happens. Why not? I want to scroll up or down easily. We all use Adobe Reader and MS Word, why not give this ADE program a similar user interface. Why isn't reading an e-book at least as pleasant and easy as reading a pdf?

If I use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down nothing happens, why not? (Ctrl Mouse wheel works to change font size, so the mouse wheel is supported somehow),

Why can't I zoom-out to page level in one step. I am used to reading (physical) books and (entire) pages and it helps me to find my way on the page and in the book.

Sometimes ctrl-Left and ctrl-Right keys seem to do something, but it is unclear to me what their function is.

If I use the Page-up and Page-Dn keys I can browse through the pages (that actually works), but as soon as I take over with the mouse, and click the right or left arrow, I suddenly am directed to a complete unexpected page.

The chapter and section header should always be shown somewhere in the screen (like in a real book)

Sorry, this response sounds a bit frustrated, but it is such a pity that you do not give this program much more attention. E-books are the future, but using your software makes me long for real books.
