Acrobat X Standard Error: 6

I have been using Acrobat X Standard for a few years now and it has always worked perfectly. 3 days ago I updated to Windows 10. The very next time I opened a pdf document I got the following error:

I then uninstalled the product. Restarted the machine. Re-installed the product and it all worked perfectly for a day. I have just opened yet another pdf document and this error has re-appeared. After clicking on the OK button (the only option) Acrobat X closes down. I am using Windows 10 64 bit.

This is so frustrating. Please assist me anybody.
