And yes, I am a student at Asheville-Buncombe Technical College that is specializing in Digital Media and Design. Classes start back up again in 9 days. I pay my sub just like anyone else... I have many more of these messages but I thought this was a particularly useful one as it is before CC was available so there is no reason for me to have a cracked version of the software at all.

But anyway, thanks for being a jerk (and in a first post no less... I know I haven't been posting here long but I at lest attempted to look around and answer a few questions for things that I knew) you certainly give "developers" (whatever you "develop") like you a great name. If the .dll is reading as cracked, then that is a problem with the DLL because this came streight from Adobe's download. In any case, it took me less than 10 minuets to call you out so please head back under your bridge.

I'd like to keep this topic open if anyone has any real advice.

Oh... and... reported. Bye now!

This was a common problem (hit me, for example) on CS6. I cured it by uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign and Acrobat, but I subsequntly found the following directions:

Rename the existing version CS6ServiceManager.exe, e.g. to CS6SM-old.exe

Open the media:

Adobe CS6\payloads\AdobeCSXSExtensions3-mul\Assets2_1.zip

Sort by name, and pick file 2 (full name_2_8fe651acba3344e645cfeb6286fff6b8)

Extract it to Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CS6ServiceManager

Rename it to CS6ServiceManager.exe

I'm guessing it might be worth trying to find the CC versions to do the same thing.

How's the weather in Asheville? Sure wish I was down there myself...

Soulelle please try the solutions offered in Error 213:19 | Problem has occurred with the licensing of this product | Acrobat X and XI - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-213-19-licensing-acrobat.html.  If you could please respond to this discussion with the results it would be appreciated.

Shall I try them despite I'm updating Photoshop CC rather than Acrobat? And how in the world is licensing related to inconsistency of a zlib library...

Hi, from Bilbao, Spain. I´ve received the same update requierement messages on Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC, downloaded yesterday, and the same error occurs at laptop Win 7 PC with previous CS 6 installation from the Creative Cloud. I had the same update requierements on Mac desktop and no problem. I´ve searched for the error codes at the bottom of log file and it´s pretty much the same as Stagg3r´s reported issue.

Hi,

Same error here. Madrid/Brussels time: 19.30. I have started to update the CC and seven applications give the same error:

"Adobe CSXS Extensions 4: CSXS Extensions 4.0.2 update". Error in update (original message in Spanish).

CC Applications that report failure: Prelude, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and InCopy.

All of them installed anew yesterday.

The machine is a W7 PC that has a previous installation of the Creative Suite 6 that has not been uninstalled.

Any idea, please?

Thanks.

All right: I restarted the PC and I've tried again, one by one. Everything went OK now. A glitch in the matrix? Who knows, but just in case anybody has the same trouble...

Glad to hear you got it to work. I'm still in the same situation after trying again this morning after letting my poor PC "rest" overnight (yes, I'm just joking ). I still have the same 7 apps that won't take the update and I really don't want to uninstall my CS6 as I'm really not used to CC yet and several plugins aren't working for some apps. Of course, I didn't install any of them until long after I had given up trying to install these updates, so that isn't it. I wonder if it may be why some aren't installing (Xtreme Path and Filter It for Illustrator, I'm looking at you here), but I'm at a loss here.
