Hello , Adobe forums moderators and members.

I want to install Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 v16 , but when i launched the Install.app file , i got the error message below :

4hYedzX.png

Obviously , the Adobe Support Advisor is discontinued.

I searched the Adobe forums for solutions (Using the CC Cleaner tool ...) but the problem was not resolved.

I'm using macOS Sierra Public Beta 2 , which compatible with CC (I searched in internet about the compatibility).

The same problem is happening when i try to install the last version of Adobe Application Manager, which i downloaded yesterday from Adobe website.

I did also check the installer log file under /Users/mydirectory/Library/Logs/PDApp.log and 2 errors lines are there for every installer launched instance :

08/01/16 08:55:55:841 | [ERROR] |  | ASU | PIM | PIM |  |  | 21948 | File '/private/var/folders/bh/8dhwr2s92gnbqsy1ypfdt8480000gn/T/AppTranslocation/C5AAEDF4-2E49-4FBE-AF9A-BFAC6872B2BF/d/packages/core/PDApp.pimx' is missing. Can't estimate the size for this package

08/01/16 08:55:55:841 | [FATAL] |  | ASU | Setup | Setup |  |  | 21948 | Error installing Packages.

It will be so nice from you guys to give me a working solution Thanks in advance.

Greetings.

    Hello again ,

I found the solution : I went to the folder where the file is missing (mentioned in the log file) , to find that this directory is not getting created. And since /private/var/... is a system folder , i thought that the root privileges are needed to create directories there.

Therefore , i opened the DMG file containing Photoshop CC , right-clicked the Install.app file , Show Package contents.

then i went to Contents/Mac OS.

Now , i opened the terminal , then i typed : sudo , the a space , and then i did a drag/drop for the file in "Mac OS" folder to the terminal window and pressed Enter.

The installer proceeded the initializing succesfully

I think that will work for everyone having this issue , and didn't find a solution.

Have a good day , all.

Go to the installer app, right click to show package contents. Go to CONTENTS->MACOS->INSTALL.  RUN THE INSTALLER FROM HERE.

I installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 this way.

This did the trick (I was reinstalling CS6 on my computer). Thanks!

houssemn98093423 Hey dude! Is Photoshop CC working fine on Sierra? What about Illustrator CC? Did you try it? I tried both with the first developer beta and it was a terrible experience...

    Thank you!!

    Good morning/evening,

    Didn't try Illustrator CC.

But concerning Photoshop CC , it works with no crashes but it's a little laggy , so i'm still using CS6 since it's so stable on my Mac (Maybe because i have an old mac , Mid-2012)

Note that the two versions crash when you click "Save" in the "Save for the Web" window. Developers said that the issue was fixed in the last macOS Sierra beta , so it will be fixed in the next Public Beta 3 , which must be seeded today or tomorrow.
