RemoteUpdateManager exiting with Return Code (2)

I see that Adobe has changed the naming convention of their update files, by now abbreviating the applications (Full application name prior), and was wondering if this might be the root of the issue. FWIW - I am using Adobe's update server direct download, not an internal update server.

Is there an update to the version of RUM? I have tried using Creative cloud packager to see if there was a new version (which there isn't that I could tell).

I have also asked our PC admin to check and see if they were seeing the same issue (which they are).

Please advise...

Correct answer rrouleau

I have an escalated ticket in on the update function in the packages I built failing, which forced me to try RUM. I just added on to that ticket to include this (via email) and plan to follow up by phone later today.

Just FYI RUM has now been updated to v. 1.9.6.17

I was also seeing the same issues until I updated to the latest version.

You can download the latest version in your Enterprise Console > Deployment > Creative Cloud

I noticed as well that CC Packager does not build in this latest version (Yet).

I'm also experiencing this. And actually, what got me to that point was the in-application updating system on the last package I built failing. The Updates... option (MacOS) would be available (not grayed-out) but would not do anything. I do have a ticket in with Adobe on this that was escalated to Level 2, after which I never heard back from them.

Ric,

Do you happen to have a escalated ticket number? I also submitted a bug, but haven't heard anything.

John T Smith Thanks for the reply...

If the link you have pointed me to is in fact the issue, then I would assume that there would be a new version of RUM... Which here doesn't seem to be.

Adobe would need to release this, for us enterprise customers..
