Hello,

I've been using the beta version of XD for the past month. Now that beta has ended, I started a new trial for XD and updated my XD app to the latest version. After I enter my Adobe ID when prompted, I get stuck on the "Please wait for a moment screen" with the spinning wheel on screen. Nothing happens, even if I leave it for an hour or so.

I have tried restarting Creative Cloud and XD. When that didn't work, I reinstalled them both but still encountered the same problem. Hope there's someone who could help me with this. I am using Windows 10 Version 1703.

Hello! Thanks for your reply.

I've just used the CC cleaner as instructed in the link but still encounter the same problem. Prior to this I've also uninstalled all non-CC Adobe programs I have except for Adobe AIR and Flash Player (was thinking there was something in conflict there or something). I still get stuck at the spinning wheel. Not quite sure what to do next?

Below is the log from CC cleaner:

It looks like it might be a login issue. I'd suggest:

  1. Log out of the Creative Cloud desktop application
  2. Reboot your computer
  3. Log back into the Creative Cloud desktop application
  4. Launch XD

Does that help?

Hi!

For some reason I can't log out of the Creative Cloud app. There's no response from the system when I click "Sign Out."

I also have a problem with the Apps tab. When I follow the instructions on relaunching Creative Cloud CC, sometimes the list of app is displayed, but most of the time it is also stuck on the spinning wheel. I've also tried out the solutions listed in this link: Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't open or shows a spinning progress wheel but result is the same.

Thanks for the advice! Hope we can find something that will work.

Yes, it does sound like an issue with the Creative Cloud desktop app and not with XD specifically. I'm going to move this thread over to the installation forum to get you more expert eyes on it!

Teskaq were you able to successfully and locate the OOBE folder as discussed in Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't open or shows a spinning progress wheel ?  If so then please complete the steps listed in "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app .  This includes repeating the steps listed in Solution 2.  If the Apps tab continues to not load then proceed to solution 3 and reinstall in a newly created local administrator account.

Please update this discussion if you have any questions Teskaq.

Hi, sorry I was unable to reply, got caught up with a bunch of things that kept me busy. Tried the steps as mentioned and reinstalled in a new local admin account but the issue is still the same. Kind of at a loss on what to do. Thanks for the help, would appreciate any further ideas that could help resolve the issue.
