Is there a way to uninstall adobe application manager - it is stopping me using any of my adobe products. When I click on illustrator, it opens up AAM this then says validating software, then it crashes illustrator, and the loop continues. Nothing adobe will open!! HELP

Thanks for response. This is what I had already tried, but it only deletes the creative cloud app. Adobe Application Manager was still there everytime I wanted to open my ai or any adobe app. I have however had my access to CC fixed through adobe live chat, through a different fix.

It came down to these 2 files being corrupted...

SLCache and SLStore
located in ....
/Library/Application Support/Adobe

Once I put .old after each of them, everthing worked again. Hurrah!

There is no way to uninstall it - it injects itself into your system as part of the install of any version CS6 or newer. It is cancer and constantly runs degrading your system performance and exists solely to gather data for their corporate overlords. It is spyware. Having said that, I am a free-market Libertarian so can't say that they "shouldn't" do this. Their bean counters ran the numbers and determined that they get more benefit from having this cancer installed on their "customers" systems than they lose from users leaving in disgust and choosing other products instead.

Please see here for qualified information on the application manager: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/aam-troubleshoot-download-install.html.

FYI information: it does not degrade my system and it does not qualify for spy software.

You can uninstall the Adobe Application manager with the help of Adobe Cleaner Tool from here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Launch the Adobe Cleaner tool and in the top right drop-down select Creative Cloud. In the list select Creative Cloud Installer and then click the button labelled 'Cleanup selected'. The Adobe Application Manager will be removed from your computer.

Hope this will help you !
