Hallo
Vielen Dank

- CS6 is 13 year old software that predates modern operating systems & browsers.
I don´t know where you source this information from. I can`t confirm your statement at all. Worked perfectly for my needs since my purchase in may 2014 up until I changed PC two weeks ago. .
I have not lived under a stone doing my CS6-thing and knowing nothing about existing subscription and that there is no support. Thought that was obvious...

- It was discontinued a long time ago and product support is non-existent.
Have you considered getting modern software that's compatible with newer equipment? You can download a free, 7-day trial of Creative Cloud. If after 7 days you don't like it, you can cancel and owe nothing.

Hope that helps.

The CS Suite 6 cost a lot of money. The product and the download including the serial number are still in my account. The use must be made possible, not impossible. The help Section of Adobe is searchable for the topic CS 6. But then the provided link lead you to pages that dont give answers, just more links that then end at pages that are all about CC App. Zero relating to the CS6 Problem.
dont have words for that

Fast forward to 2024: You're trying to use legacy software on a newly acquired PC.
OPTION 1:
Get new software that's compatible with your new PC. ✓ Highly recommended for security & performance reasons.
OPTION 2:
Keep using CS6 on your old computer and don't update your OS. ✘ Not recommended for security reasons.
OPTION 3:
Deactivate CS6 from your old computer's HELP menu to free-up your ACTIVATION limit. ✘ No guarantees.
Best of luck.

Ok, thanks for the option list.
I bought it may 2014, yes.
The PC I have now is "old" too, just another brand and better and had to be set up completely. But the setup is not so different from last setup on the other PC I had to do in september 2023 where I went through installing and activation too.
Zero browserproblems.
I do not understand where the browserthing suddenly sneaked in so persistently and completely resistant.

in my last try, I did exactly that.
All you said above.
And in addition all kind of combinations of having the cc app open in the background.
As mentioned i was able to install skipping the registration after entering the serial number and before the installing, but a, but wasnt able to activate after installing. Still get the browser-error window.
And I am able to use my cs6 only for 7 days, and then it will be blocked as it writes in the opening window.
-> The only thing that I couldnt find out is your pictured advice to go to privacy settings of the cc app and set it to compatibility mode. I asked your for advice for where to find that. maybe that could be the solution?

I have same troubles now. But in my case it's "only" InDesign which I need (private use) two to three times a year to correct old books - not worth to take a subscription for about 400 per year. (I use Photoshop with subscription.)
InDesign was running well on my PC but there was an elecronic defect, start-SSD had to be replaced. I desconnected InDesign to reconnect after new installation (same OS - Windows11 - as before). And this fails. I can get InDesign installed but cannot authentificate - same "Browser aktualisieren" an TO has. No button to close even this message.
This is not caused by an technical problem - this makes me angry. It would run on this OS, it would run with the same browsers as before. But Adobe do not want my lifetime license to work longer, that's all. Very nice: Adobe gives me a new download of my CS6 Design Standard, knowing I could not Use it.
Hope that helps - you to understand our anger.

Thank you! I have read your posting but was on cell phone only. Now I tried and
"
At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.
Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code."
does not work because of lack of "Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet." and , of course, there is no "Offline Activation" or "Generate a Response Code."
The two possibilities to answer (click) are (Austrian user) "Später anmelden" and "Jetzt anmelden". Where is my fault?
Kind regards Ernst

Worked! Great!
The first problem was: I disconnected LAN - but my clean installed PC, very clever, switched to WLAN immediately. 😉
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Lease InDesign only for 1 month and cancel when you're finished using it. 1 month of InDesign costs just $35.

Thanks Nancy! I had in mind that the shortest subscription lasts one year.
Could be the solution for next time. Hope there was nothing changed in kerning or similiar. Because when I would have to edit layout of whole books (each 300 up to 1100 pages), I could switch to another software anyway. (Yes, there is at least one serious alternative.)
Kind regards Ernst
