Please launch "Adobe Application Manager" -> Click UserName (top left corner) -> Preferences -> Select language English (International) -> Save. -> Click Lightroom installer on applet screen and Install shall be successful.

Lightroom shall be up and running then.

OK, it works now, but nothing will give back the time and money wasted on playing around for over one week.

Hello,

My apologies for the install failure.

That's a valid bug. Lightroom installation fails when "International english" is selected. This is reproducible only on Windows OS. MAC works fine.

Root cause has been identified, fix is done, and currently, testing team is validating the fix.

We will push the bits to CCM as soon as validation completes. Stay tuned, will be updating the thread.

Err thanks Ajay,

Of course your missing something kind of important. A lot of people (like us) are using Adobe Cloud and are paying for access as a service, we are effectively renting use of this product and have been unable to install it for 8 days.

In a world of buy once licenses this current FUBAR is the legal equivalent of a late delivery.  In the SAAS world, this is a failure to deliver service and in many jurisdictions customers are entitled to compensation regardless of TOS, for the failure to provide the advertised service for an extended period of time (at least 3 days).  Normally this is achieved by extending service duration etc.

What plans do Adobe have for compensating cloud customers that have been unable to install the purchased product?  We have 3 licenses.

Hello,

I am sorry, I don't have the authority and jurisdiction to comment on the issue other than engineering side updates. From engineering side, fix has been identified and validation is in progress.

Our team is working with a goal releasing the fix ASAP.

PS: If "English (International)" (on windows) is not the only preferred working language of yours, you might want selecting "English (North America)"  [Launch CCM Applet -> Click UserName (top left corner) -> Preferences -> language drop down -> Select desired language] for enabling LTRM installation on windows. Installation in other languages works fine too.

Lightroom not installing here either:

Exit Code: 16

Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW039 ...

With little below - and little explaining.

Same problem here, as I understand the problem, ApplicationManager downloads North American English version and tries to install it as International English and there it fails. If you try to install the same files (from Temp) as North American English, it works like a charm. But be careful, this can lead to compatibility problems in future, cause part of you CC is International and part is North American. In my case, after consulting Adobe Support and trying everything, clearing registry included, this lead to reinstalling the whole system and whole CC.

Ouch - not sure that reinstalling everything can qualify as a "solution" !

Same Issue here, Windows 8 64.  Any news on a reply from Adobe yet?

Same issue here, on multiple machines.

FWIW, my regular, non-cloud version of LR4.3 installed just fine on Win 8-64 - I have both versions as I bought it before it made it to the Creative Cloud. I couldn't however install the CC one using the Adobe Application Manager.

Same here on Windows 7 x64; I guess Adobe provides a corrupt installation file for LR 4.3
