Firewall issues with Updater

I am trying to download the latest updates to Adobe Creative Cloud to my computer. The updater keeps giving me an error message to check my firewall settings. I have previously indicated in Norton that Adobe apps can access the web. Of course, there are dozens of apps. I have selected all the obvious ones, but with no success. Any ideas? Thanks.

If possible, please turn off the firewall at the time of updating Adobe apps.

In all sincerity, thank you for your response.  Unfortunately, your suggestion is a hack.  I use Norton Internet Security.  I should not have to turn off my firewall to download software.  No Fortune 500 company would do that.  The firewall permits me to authorize apps that can access the Internet.  I set CC to do that and any number of other Adobe apps that might be relevant.  At that point, things should work.

I am on the phone with Adobe Tech support for the last 37 minutes.  They are unable to resolve the problem.  I am on a mac computer with the latest software (not the beta of what is coming this fall).  It should work.  I have been a huge defender of Adobe's new CC model, but it should work much better than this.

But again, thanks again for your reply.  It does solve the problem, but in an unacceptable way.

Best regards,

Jack Siegel

Had the same problem -- and the same "solution" -- on both Windows 7 and 8.1 machines.

Seems like Adobe and Norton need to talk...
