I have a Mac with OS-10.7.5. Elements 10 stopped working. I uninstalled Elements 10 and tried to reinstall it. I got the download from the website for Mac version. I get the following message.
“Install” can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image
“Install” is on the disk image “PhotoshopElements_10_WWEFDJ.dmg”. Google Chrome downloaded this disk image today at 11:29 AM from trials3.adobe.com.
Please help. Thanks

I redownloaded. It does not give me the options that your provided link suggests. I used to get that for other installs but not this one. Once I click on dmgfile, it goes to a verifying process, then it opens a window called ADOBE PHOTSHOP ELEMENTS 10. When I click on that, one of the choices arethe install option. When I click on install, I get the install can notbe opened. I attached all the windows. Thanks

It copied a lot of files to application folder. Did not seem to install anything. When I went to the photoshop folder within the application folder, I found the install icon and clicked on it. This is what I got.

I talked to Apple customer service and they tried to recover the application from the back up and it failed. They said this is an Adobe issue. They gave me the Adobe customer services number. I called them and they said they do not provide phone support, they referred me to chat support. No one helped me on the chat either.

why did apple say you're unable to install a dmg file?

She tried to help me by reloading the backup. Once we did that, the editor was not launching and once we tried the organizer we were prompted to re-install the application. This was repeat of what I experienced. I was already on the phone for 30 minutes we did not get to figure out why the dmg is not installing.

you can't install adobe apps using a back-up or time-machine etc. that's expected and your apple person was bound to fail. they should have known that would fail.
the problem is with your apple computer and the problem they should have helped you with was trying to install a dmg file. either the file you have is corrupt or your computer is not properly handling dmg files.

I am getting the same messages when trying to download Adobe Photoshop CS5 to my brand new MacBook Pro. Did this issue get resolved? If so, how? I am at my wits end here. Apple also told me it was an Adobe issue. I have tried downloading 6 times, used different web browsers, tried the original CS4 hardware, etc. Nothing seems to work.
