Question

“Install” can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image

I have a Mac with OS-10.7.5.  Elements 10 stopped working.  I uninstalled Elements 10 and tried to reinstall it.  I got the download from the website for Mac version.  I  get the following message.

“Install” can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image

“Install” is on the disk image “PhotoshopElements_10_WWEFDJ.dmg”. Google Chrome downloaded this disk image today at 11:29 AM from trials3.adobe.com.

Please help.  Thanks

I am getting the same messages when trying to download Adobe Photoshop CS5 to my brand new MacBook Pro.  Did this issue get resolved?  If so, how?  I am at my wits end here.  Apple also told me it was an Adobe issue.  I have tried downloading 6 times, used different web browsers, tried the original CS4 hardware, etc.  Nothing seems to work.

    >Apple also told me it was an Adobe issue

Owners of old programs simply have problems with Mac El Capitan/Sierra... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

    delete the desktop directory.

double click the original dmg you downloaded.

    double click install.

after seeing the install can't be opened message, follow the steps in OS X Mavericks: Open an app from an unidentified developer

I get this msg after following OSX Mavericks instructions.
