Installer has been misconfigured?

I have been trying to download a free trail of CS6 Master Collection in order to upgrade from CS5, however I am unable to do so because every single time I attempt to the Application Installer spits out:

"Sorry, an error has occured.

This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."

So can someone help me here? I want to be able to get use to CS6 before getting back to classes. Not sure if it's my computer that is causing the probelm or it is just the installing file that is keeping me from updating my master collection.

FYI: I updated my AIR, suggested by a friend, but it still didn't help.

Which operating system are you using?  Have you tried removing the already installed copy of Adobe Download Assistant and then reinstalling?

To: SquaklingRooster,

Would you please tell me what the problem was?  I have the same problem right not, tells me the same: This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."   What did you do to fix it?  Please help me!

Thank you
