installing photoshop7 on new computer with windows 8.1

I am trying to install 7 on my newer computer with 8.1. It is an update or upgrade which was on my old pc with XP

It is asking me to verify earlier version and I have no idea where disks are and, obviously, I can't verify it on this pc.

what do I do?

    select the previous version from the dropdown and enter your serial number for the previous version.

    Thank you. But, I’m in the install process of 7.0 and I don’t see a dropdown option. Just this screen shot below. Am I in the wrong place or doing something wrong?

    I have the s/n for my version 5.5, just not the disk.

    first, it's not clear what programs you are mentioning.

    are you trying to install photoshop elements 7.0?  or do you really mean you have a license for photoshop 7.0?

    and whichever you have, is that an upgrade from a previous version?

    do you have photoshop cs5.5?  is that an upgrade from a previous version?
