I'm trying to make a Multi-language site English & French. I have a site created with a Gallery and multiple pages.

I've created a Splash page which visitors have the choice of langauge button.

The problem is once I duplicate the site, especially the Gallery and turn off which site I need to be visible "Appears in 2 Galleries". The individual page within the gallery disapear.

I simply want to duplicate a Gallery, change text and link to a button on splash page.

Any help or advice would be apprecaited!

1. Portfolio does not support multi-language websites.

2. However you can create up to 5 websites in Portfolio.  Use one or more for your alternate language site.

    -  myname_en . myportfolio . com

    -  mon_nom_fr . myportfolio . com

    -  mein_name_de . myportfolio . com

    -  mi_nombre_sp . myportfolio . com

Unfortunately, Portfolio is not a good platform for multi-language websites.  If that's a major priority for you, I would switch to WordPress and use the WP multi-lingual plugin.

For what you want to do in Portfolio, I think you need to create 2 separate websites each with different URLs.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your answers and advice.

It's a pity that Adobe dossn't do the extra step to give functions like  multi-lingual switching, integrated watermarks, optional download of pictures/videos/files etc. to Portfolio. As a Adobe Photography bundle user, we are invited to connect LrC, Lr, Lr Mobile with Portfolio and Behance to promote Creativity with Adobe products. But very quickly, we reach limits making this creative force a farce. The EU is a single market where many languages coexist. True artists reach out to the whole world...

OK. We can create up to 5 portfolio sites, but can we copy one to make those translated versions? Can we add a (e.g. flag) picture on a hyperlink in the navigation?

Best regards

@ThierryH7727272,

Adobe Portfolio is a free service included with a paid Creative Cloud subscription.  It's intended to be used as a PORTFOLIO for showcasing examples of your creative content online.

For a more advanced website, you'll need to pay for a self-hosted solution like WordPress with the multi-lingual WPML plugin.   WordPress is a multi-faceted, open source platform used by millions of blogs, e-pubs, e-commerce and service-based websites.  It's well-documented and supported by most commercial web hosts.

Hope that helps.
