My reply to Adobe's request for survey submission

Dear Adobe,

As a full subscriber to Creative Suite for over 7 years now, I’ve spent more than £4,000 with Adobe. I’ve also bought into Business Catalyst, which cost an additional £600 (or thereabouts).

You are asking me to complete a survey, which you say will take 8 minutes, and you’ve also given me a deadline for submitting this survey. As you make no mention of an offer for me to take 8 minutes of my time to complete it, I’m assuming you’d like a quote for carrying out this work.

Please see attached a quote for carrying out your request.

Please note: I generally don’t take on small jobs such as this and would normally charge a minimum of 30 minutes, but as you’re a high profile company and there’s an opportunity to get my ‘foot in the door’, I’ll make an exception here, and reduce my minimum period to 20 minutes, just for Adobe.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Dan

Correct answer Nancy OShea

Nancy, I think I can safely speak for most users when I say that we REALLY appreciate the amount of time that volunteers put into helping users in these forums.

I do see Daniel's point but here is some constructive feedback on this issue, not just a complaint. Give users some way to disable these survey request popups. Simply clicking the X does NOT prevent it from popping up again in the future. I've had Illustrator CC 2017 installed for a long time and have gotten this popup more than once. Each time I click the X but that doesn't stop if from popping up again.

How about moving this request out of the program so it doesn't appear during a long, automated batch operation for example (and can't be dismissed BTW). Adobe has our email addresses, just send the request there. OR move survey notifications to the CC Desktop App. That's a nice central location that does not impinge on production activities in any of the apps.

Thanks again for the work you do. I guarantee you aren't thanked enough.

Can you submit a feature request through official channels?

I don't think the engineers ever look at these forums.

In Dreamweaver for example, it's in the Help Menu.

Well, I think they heard your concerns and are now willing to pay $100/hr, haha.

Hello,

I have received the same email but when I hover the links, this is what I get : adobe.allegiancetech.com/...

Is that a real address for Adobe ? I'm sceptical and won't take the chance to click the different links.

Thank you.

The email Adobe sent to me was a no-reply email, so where should I have sent it?

I also feel that it would be helpful for other users to see this.
