Photoshop Installation error in Master Collection

Have tried all the recommended methods from the adobe support website but still have the following errors

For your DF027 error I would recommend following the steps listed in Install log "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" read, write system file errors | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5.

The DF063 error is indicating you are not able to write to a specific location.  You may want to try just creating a new adminsistrator account and try the install under that account.

Jeff,

Thanks for the recommendation, the problem persists. Listed below are the things that have been done

1. Created another user with admin priviledges

2. Renamed the Adobe folder before the first try & then deleted the Adobe folder from the applications folder for the subsequent tries.

3. Renamed the photoshop folder for the first try & then deleted the photoshop folder rom the applications folder for the subsequent tries.

4. Emptied the trash.

5. Gave Read Write rights to System, Administartor & Everyone for the applications folders

Below is the error message after making the above changes, rebooting the machine, logging in as a different administrator before trying to install

Should mention that we are running MAC OS 10.6.8.

Any help much appreciated.

Under the applications the Photoshop cs5.1 should appear as a generic folder for MAC. Try deleting that. I would suggest enabling the root user and consider installing there. By the way is this a dvd  installer that you are using? If it is try downloading the trial version. There is a possibility that the Photoshop files could not be read from the installer based on the line *ERROR: DF027: Unable to copy file from "/private/tmp/.tempdirogWIqOTK/Assets1/Application/Plug-Ins/Import-Ex port/Save for Web.plugin/Contents/PkgInfo" to "/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5.1/Plug-Ins/Import-Export/Save for Web.plugin/Contents/PkgInfo" Error 0(Seq 2026).
