Hello. Recently I've bought a second hand Adobe CS5.5 and I want to transfer the license betwen the original user and me.
Adobe support tell me that I have to publish a message here to open a ticket to start the license transfer process.
Any help?
Thanks!
Ellis, your case number is ADB-29824397-T2K6, and per Kglad's suggestions, you can use the steps in https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html to update your support case.
The support case seems to be tagged about the need to increase the activation count, Ellis, but that is not what you asked about in this public discussion forum.
You can follow the steps offered by Kglad at https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html
...Resuming for anybody with my same problem.
Tell the license porpietary/transferor to speak Adobe first. The license transfer pocess is almost inmediate this way.
If you speak with Adobe (If you are the license recipient), you will spinning almost in a loop without sucess.

here's how that should have been done, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html

Many thanks for your prompt response. I need a case number and the agent told me that I have to publish here to have that "case number" because Adobe CS5.5 does not have support via chat.
So, without a case number/Support history (Step number 7 of the link) I can't do the process.
Hence here I am... What I should do? Is it a little bit confusing

if you contacted adobe support, you have a case number, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html

No, I do not have any ticket.
As I told I've just opened a chat with an agent that told me that I have to post here to obtain such ticket...

You can follow the steps offered by Kglad at https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html and complete the form and attach it to your current case ADB-29824397-T2K6. Both you and the seller will need to complete the process before a transfer of license will even be considered. For additional information on the restrictions you and the seller will encounter, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html.

Hello. Many thanks for the response.
Now in my profile appears a "Case Number" but appears as "Ressolved" and I can't attach the PDF file for send to review (Actions/View Details disabled). So, I'm still having the same problem.
Sorry Jeff but I don't understand what you mean here "The support case seems to be tagged about the need to increase the activation count, Ellis, but that is not what you asked about in this public discussion forum."

if you saw an error about an "excess activation count" when trying to activate and mentioned that to adobe support, that would explain jeff's message. ie, that's a different issue than a license transer.

Thanks for your message. I think I continue explaining me wrong...
The case is set as closed/solved, hence I can't upload/send the license transfer file in my support page. So I need a case number AND the case number marked as active/open.
Case is not solved, due I can't send the file for the license transfer yet.

can you update your ticket linked in my 2nd post?

No, sorry, because the ticket is marked as Solved and I can't do anything with it. Some Adobe member must create a new ticket or reopen the previous one to allow me upload the PDF with the license transfer.

then contact adobe support and request as case number of license transfer. request nothing else.

Thanks for the update, Ellis, and great point to make sure all required paperwork has been completed to transfer a license as part of the purchase process.
Overall, please be very careful if you are attempting to purchase older Adobe software titles. The software is unavailable through our resellers, and there are several risks with utilizing software from 2011 while the year is 2023 or later.
